6th Grade Social Studies Class Looking for Online Collaboration

I have created a blog after finally getting approval from our technology coordinator for my district. We have just started working on posting comments and the basics. I teach sixth grade social studies at a middle school. I know these posts have been posted before, but I was looking for another teacher to have their students blog with my students. I would post some basic questions about life at the school and possibly post pictures, etc. Trying to bridge this technology piece and help students realize there is more to life than just the hallways our building in Bettendorf, Iowa. We are currently working with a class in Australia and it is AWESOME! Looking to expand this cultural learning aspect.

I am an 8th grade ELA teachers (mostly honors students), and I would love to try something like this. My students respond to blogs that I post, but they are not blogging with another class. We live in a rural area near Myrtle Beach, SC, and they need to "get outside" their comfort zone.

I think we can work something out. I would like to try something to see how it goes and maybe it will open up some more venues for the upcoming school year as well.
