Hey, Buddy! It's been some time since we met in Philly. :) Hope you're well!

Welcome to CR 2.0 Matt. It's great to have new voices.
Hello...

I'm Mary Meisel, from Emporium, Pennsylvania. I had bookmarked this page a while back and on revisiting I decided it was time to join. Web 2.0 offers so many powerful tools for use in education and although many of these tools are blocked in our school district at the present time, I hope that more information and greater understanding of those tools will help turn the tide.

I looking forward to this adventure!
Hi Mary Welcome to CR2.0. I think you'll find some great ideas here. I was listening to an online conversation recently (EdTechTalk???) about filtering in schools. Some have been able to request unblocking of specific sites with an explanation of how it meets a particular ed need. Might be worth a try.
Hi everyone,

I am a primary school teacher in sunny island Singapore. I love using technology in the classrooms and trying out new ways to engage my pupils. Would love to collaborate with teachers in other countries who are teaching the same age group (11-12yr old). I am passionate about teaching and would love to get in touch with other teachers around the world.
Welcome to CR20. Let me know when you are ready for a project or videoconferencing. There's lots to learn and join in here!

Hi JoNelle!!

Do drop me at email at aini_hussien@moe.edu.sg if you are interested to do a project or video conferencing with my students. We can use Skype or MSN.
Hello everyone. My name is Bill and I teach 7th grade langauge arts at a school in central Pennsylvania. I just recently heard about this website and I think it's great. I am a third year teacher and I've recently been incorporating a lot of classroom 2.0 material into my language arts class. Thus far, the kids love it. And while our school is limited on funding and technology, we are making some waves and gains.
Welcome to Classroom 2.0. Congratulations on including 2.0 strategies already. I can relate to the limited funding and technology, My school district was already like that and now it is even more true with the CA budget crisis. I think you'll find a lot of great ideas and perspectives on 2.0 tools and strategies here.
What kind of web 2.0 tools have you been using in your classroom? I'm going to be a 4th year teacher in the upcoming 10-11 school year. Last year I used quia.com to quiz my students on a grammar lesson, we used WindowsMovieMaker to create a video for our school -- I also started my students on a podcast, blog, and video project to voice their opinions on things that matter to them -- sadly we didn't have time to finish them. What technologies have you used so far?
Hello all,
I'm Jason Knight, teaching high school science (mostly bio, at the moment) in Topsham, Maine. Our district recently hired a new district level IT guy and it sounds like using these tools will be much easier for us in the near future, so I'm excited about that, and excited to be seeing how others are using technology to help students.
