For those of you who are interested, I wanted to let you know that Tapped In is having its summer Festival on July 23 (2pm-8pm PDT) and July 24 (8am-2pm PDT) on the topic of "Beyond Conflict" Building Peaceful Communities."

Tapped In is an online community of K-16 teachers, staff, and researchers engaged in both formal professional development programs and informal collaborative activities with colleagues. You can attend chats on all kinds of topics including web2.0 tools, art, etc. for free. It's professional development without the hotel bills. :)

If you are not familiar with Tapped In, go to www.tappedin.org and log in with a free membership. Participate in a Tips and Tricks Pre-Festival tours.
One of the keynote speakers will be Anna Martin, guiding force for the Blanket the World with Peace Project ( http://www.cedarnet.org/emig/peace/ ) and leader in the arts education community. The other keynote is Dr. Jane Bluestein on creating emotionally safe schools.

You can see the festival flyer off of my wiki at http://artisttradingcards.wikispaces.com/Festival+Flyer, which is a wiki created for the session on Artist Trading Cards on Thursday.
