A Literature Conversation

I just wanted to let everybody know that I have scheduled a live workshop for Thursday at 7pm Eastern time on how to engage students in putting themselves into the stories that they are reading. Meaning, ask students to imagine that they are one of the characters.

I'm wondering if anybody has ever done this, and, if so, what techniques did you use. I'd love to see a discussion here before we have the workshop.
