In my school we teach math in grades 5-8 as a multigraded, performance based class. We pretest each topic we want to teach and then divide the students into groups based on their performance on the pretest. As we continue to with the program (we are in our 3rd year) we are having difficulty finding materials. Has anyone found and used online math curriculum? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I too have been looking for Math resources and I do not know if this will help but I am very impressed with this site out of Australia... We are starting to use it so go take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks, I'll check it out!
You did not specify what online format you are looking for, Moodle, Elluminate, web-based from an independent website, etc. We have developed a lot of interactive activity slides for elementary math for Elluminate. If that is your platform, I would be happy to share some of our resources.
I would be happy to check out your resources if you would like to send me some information. Thanks for replying!
These are Elluminate specific and must run in the Elluminate online classroom. They are geared toward live, online, teacher-led time together. If this seems fitting to your need, feel free to drop in to my open office hours from 4:30 to 6pm Central timezone on T, W, TH at the following link ....

The open office hours are usually pretty quiet, but when it rains it pours sometimes and there is a line of students, parents, guests, and other teachers waiting for my attention. If you happen to get caught up in a Murphy whirlwind night, just be patient or try for a quieter night. :0)
I found another great Math site and it includes a lot of material and a math forum. You might want to take a look at http://mathforum.org/mathtools/index.html. Hope this helps.
I am interested in what you are doing if you are willing too share. Are you using a teacher made, book made or program generated pre test for grouping students? Do you group aacross grade levels or just within a class?
Barbara, I will be glad to share resources with you as I find them.
We have two groupings, grades 5/6 and grades 7/8. We have based our instruction on the state standards from Nebraska, and are focusing on the 8 main standards necessary for 8th grade promotion in our school. We haven't found a text that lends itself to this idea so we pull from many different sources. We have also subscribed to the site edhelper.com and we use it to find materials.
As we pretest, the 5th and 6th graders are grouped based on performance and the 7th and 8th graders are grouped. They are two separate classes. If the 7th graders are able to master all of the standards they are placed into a prealgebra class as 8th graders, while the 8th graders that need more time go through the instruction again.
That's the very abbreviated version of what we do and I'll be happy to share more if you have specific questions.
