OK, I will try this again.  :)  When I wrote the title earlier the computer suddenly froze and then the message was sent without any body.  Got to love living in China and the challenges that sometimes arise.

I have been inspired by blog post from Langwitches about creating Student Tutorials and so I started the process with a couple of my top Math students.  They have created storyboards to explain long division and equivalent fractions at the moment.  I am please with these but now am not sure what to do with them.  I want to have them be in video form or something like that with explanations that I can post on our class website or our blog so that other students who are struggling can access them.

Any suggestions of what steps I need to take?  The kids are really excited and I don't want to lose that momentum.  I just have to know what to do.  :)

Thanks for the help.

Hi Heather,
I made "How to" videos with my 5th graders then the 5th grade teacher added to the library by having the kids make 'How to" Math videos. We used Flip videos after the students wrote each step of the problem and practiced solving the problem. All the steps are listed on the original "How to" page. To check these out, go to my wiki: www.lower-school-lab.wikispaces.com/Fifth+Grade.

Thanks Debra,  I will certainly look at it. I don't want to lose my kids enthusiasm  :)

Hi Debra,

Me again.  I just checked out your wiki and while I haven't looked at the "How to.." section yet I certainly have spent some time looking at your Ancient China videos.  I live in Beijing and have walked the Great Wall, love X'ian and the Terracotta Warriors.  So many great things your kids have done.

Heather

Thank you! The kids will love to hear that. Would you be interested in skyping with the kids to tell them about where you live, what you have seen, and anything else? ~Debra
