Information

Elementary School 2.0

Since elementary teachers have special circumstances to deal with concerning the use of technology, I thought we could meet here to talk and to share ideas for 2.0 integration.

AUTISM: Web sites I use with kids and recommend to parents and educators Some are for direct instruction. Others are for reference, networking or general information. You can access them directly. You may want to read how I developed this list

I have organized a weather project for the 2010-2011 school year. It is geared to second grade, but anyone is welcome. It is all on a goggle doc spreadsheet. We are recording the high temperature, low temperature, and weather conditions. Each location will have a tab in the spreadsheet. If you are interested in joining us, please email me pattylangley@johnston.k12.nc.us . You can check out our spreadsheet at johnston.k12.nc.us/pattylangley under the Weather Project link in the left.

Hello,
I am Maria Teresa, a teacher of Italian primary school. The last school year I launched a European partnership project entitled "Learning to learn together". The project was approved by the European Central Support and is designed to foster in students the love of knowledge as a tool to build a more sustainable society in the future. In the projectthere are colleagues from Germany, Romania, France, Poland, Macedonia. Together we founded a community on Grou.ps. I'd like to extend the project to other schools and other colleagues from other European countries and not, to allow our students to learn together through the sharing of experiences and knowledge. Who of you are interested in sharing this experience with us? I'm looking forward to your response.

As Kevin Honeycutt put it, “Kid’s are changin’ any fool can tell and the ways that you teach ‘em have to change as well. You might not like it ’cause we grow up fast, but prepare us for your future and not your past”. So, what do we do? How do we answer that call? The Horizon Report detailed the major influences in education within the next five years and none of them even existed five years ago. If we are behind now, and continue to shuffle our feet, where will be in five years? Well, what can we do? It’s our move, our turn to roll the dice, our opportunity to make a difference. I don’t know about you, but I see an opportunity before us. An opportunity to be GREAT. It is time for us to be monumental, it’s our time to make history. To make history for our students. Lasting impressions that they will forever remember, cherish and hopefully pass on to others throughout their life.

Dear colleagues and friends,

I was just wondering if you had some questionnaire/checklist to obtain data on foreign language teachers' perceptions on the use of Web2.0 tools. I would like to collect data on this topic. The results will be shared here, of course.

Many thanks for your assistance and cooperation in advance.

In Italy is starting the project cl @ sse 2.0 that aims to radically change the educational culture in use. I have to prepare a project for a third class of primary school (age 8 years). The project must be valid for three years. Classroom 2.0 is the reference model , so I ask you all to help select a setting of classroom technology aimed at achieving specific objectives, the same that you intend to achieve with your project. In class we will certainly have a SmartBoard, projector and a broadband connection. I need a project already tested, lesson plans and tips for an appropriate tecchnology setting.
Thanks for the help you can give me.
Sincerely
Leonardo Paoluzzi

I am a teacher in elementary school. Can you help me to find moral stories?
