Course leader for initial teacher education programmes (PGCE & Cert Ed) certificated through University of Essex and operated at Colchester Institute.

Independant Learning Technologies Consultant, CPD provider and research enabler to Colleges, Academies, Schools and the Learning Technologies Industry.

Been in education since 1987, following a career in engineering.
Previous roles:

Head of Learning Technologies at The Specialist Schools & Academies Trust (SSAT).

Consultant (and head) for the Learning Discovery Centre - an innovation unit in Northamptonshire LA.

Regional Manager for the National Information and Learning Technologies Association (now AoC-NILTA).

Eastern Region e-Learning Coordinator for the Learning and Skills Development Agency (now LSA).

Head of programme and lecturer in numerous colleges in the UK.

Training Manager for NTS - working in partnership with Lotus Cars.

Past projects:

Engaging Learners with 1:1 e-Learning pilot professional development programme for Intel and NAACE.

The importance of Technology - a white paper in response to The importance of Teaching (Gove, 2011). Authored for SSAT in partnership with technology industry leaders, NAACE, and key education agencies.

Personalising Learning using New Technologies - an SSAT innovation event series, building on the work carried out with Prof David Hargreaves.

BSF Leadership programme for SSAT as a provider for The National College for School Leadership (NCSL).

Northamptonshire National Learning Network CPD project: -A unique partnership between three FE/HE colleges and the counties specialist schools that forged working partnerships between school and FE teachers- sharing ideas, resource, lesson plans, lesson observations and training, whilst making good use of ICT technologies.

Teach Advanced Online and Collaborative - An online "pull" CPD community that enables teachers to develop and share new pedagogic concepts and ideas. The platform uses "Learning Paths" - a form of personalised learning plan that encourages the use of new technologies (where appropriate) in a blend with traditional activities.
