Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!
That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.
Do you mind telling students and your colleagues again?
Hello Kathy,
Just requested to be your friend. I am a technology coordinator. I would like to thank you for all your resouces on your webpage, Kathy's Kaffeeklatsch. Looking forward to seeing you at NECC again.
We are working on a project on how we can utilize Web 2.0 applications, not only Social networking, in foreign language teaching. Your contributions, suggestions, and ideas are highly appreciated. I will keep you informed about the progress.
Best,
Cem
For our 1st week 5 assignment we made a site for Ning.com, joined Classroom 2.0 (and added a blog to our page), added the RSS feed to our google reader and requested to be your friend. Is that correct to have that assignment complete?
Yay! I did it! Now I have a newbie question about changing the appearance of my Classroom 2.0 page that I can't seem to figure out by clicking on anything and everything. How do I change the title of the header on my page? There doesn't seem to be anything in the "change appearance" section and when I click on the title box, it allows me to type in new content (for a title) but when I click the "save" button it simply reverts back to the default of "Welcome! Change Your Title Here". So, what am I missing?
I can't find a place on the page that tells me I can request to be your friend. Can I be your friend? :) If there is a button or area and I am missing it can you let me know. Thanks!
Good morning from Salem, Oregon, Kathy. I'm looking, but don't find, a place that allows a "click" to request being your friend on this site. So, can I be your friend?? I just joined Jing as well. What fun! Here's the link: http://oregonsnapshots.ning.com/profile/LindaSpaulding
I feel this newest Web tool introduction just may change the way I navigate the Web and invite friends and colleagues to participate. This is exciting knowledge.

Hey lady, thanks for the inet history article. I have to admit I was too impatient with its form to persevere through it; seems like a craven strategy to up page impressions, as some of the comments at the site note. I'm hoping I will find the article in a readable format sometime, and I have bookmarked it for maybe when I've had a few beers and have more patience clicking through its pages and pages to get its content! You de best!
hi kathy! thanks for adding me as a friend in-world! loved your keynote at the the MICCA conference in baltimore last spring! been doing a lot with the Caledon library and maritime research! cheers!
