Hi Jim, Thanks for the invitation and welcome. Be sure to check out our site GrantWrangler.com. We have grant listings for teachers and a handy headline generator of featured grants for districts to add to the teacher's resources sections of their sites.

Jim,

I read with interest your recent post about powerpoints and will take a look at those top 10 and comment when I find a moment (training teachers at a summer camp, its exhausting!). I have a lot to say on the subject and have a lot of experience producing educational powerpoints.

Lots more to say and just want to say I'll be intouch....from across the ocean here in Korea.

Cheers,

David

Hi Jim.
Great to get the invite. Author of 3 books for ISTE? That caught my eye. I am proudly a member of ISTE Second Life: Betina Shan. A good friend of mine, Greg Gebhart, who presented at NECC this year, was kind enough to get me my ISTE Second Life badge.
My main projects at the moment are the international Rafi Ki project with my year 7 and 8 students, which has been fantastic for the students to get involved in. As well as this, I am doing bubbl us mind maps and wikispaces wikis with my year 7's as part of their creative writing work. Both their "bubbles" and wikis are works in progress and have been really valuable for the kids to develop, extend, re-work and collaborate with their ideas.
Kind Regards,
Betina.

Hey thanks for the invite. I appreciate it. And I have to tell you about the latest thing I found on the internet: TED talks. Wow. They feature speakers who are on the forefront of their topic, pushing the envelope, cutting edge. Go to GoogleVideo and search for TED.
