<p>Hi Melissa, you're right coloured paper is very helpful, also a larger font size and double line spacing allows text to be read easier. Memory can also be a real problem, so writing instructions down as a bullet point tick list would be really good.</p>

I have a couple of students with dyslexia in the classes I teach. They get help at the Institute, but I have printed out hand outs in different colours as some dyslexic learners prefer pink etc. I've also written instructions down as sometimes they can't follow them unless its written down in front of them.
