@paulawhite posted a tweet today about her
Dr. Seuss-inspired publishing project for primary students, in which they write about (and illustrate) the "marvels" they see on their ways to and from school. Based on "And to Think that I Saw it On Mulberry Street." Perfect candidate for Voicethread, I think. Check it out.

Other than waiting until literally the 11th hour to make good on my very first day, things are off to a solid start. I have posted a Twitter widget here on my Classroom 2.0 Ning page so that I am compelled to honor the other part (contributing/participating) of my self-imposed "project" as well.
Here's my three finds for Day 1 -- all post-Super-Bowl, so not too shabby...
I regularly use Flickr to search for Creative Commons photos, especially to use in the…

Yesterday, I started a personal "micro-project" called "28 Days of Twitter." I even have a handcrafted logo to prove it :)
I have been an inconsistent Twitter user for well over a year now. I totally 'get' its potential as a core element of a PLN, but I just can't seem to make it a habit.
Since I do well in setting up arbitrary "assignments" for myself, especially if there is a mechanism of accountability built-in, I have decided that I will commit to actively…

I've decided to try to find online resources that are working for other Information Specialists. I attended a session at FETC recently and found that I am beginning to find my own PLN through Facebook and Delicious. Now, I am going to try to find other like minded individuals through Twitter, Ning and any other fun places I find myself. I am hoping I will find some new friends and colleagues. I'm ready for the ride!

Please take a minute to answer my one question poll on student preferred tools for messaging. What do you know about your student's favorite method of communicating?
http://twtpoll.com/t67coj Thanks for your input. Results available after voting.
Sorry for any cross-posting. I know this is very unscientific.

Classroom 2.0 is one of my single best resources for networking with tech-savvy educators. So, I started thinking about those other tools where I interact with and learn from folks.
Connected through LinkedIN?
I must confess
LinkedIN was my first venture into online networking. While the community is made up of far more business minded folk than teachers, the education sector is ever-growing.
Consider…

The network is challenged to click on all the adsense advertisements on any three blogs. Generate revenue for some blogger by actually clicking on the ads you never see for the words...
Make sure you use the word "networkchallenge#3" all in one word (without the quotes) in a comment you leave on those blogs.
Tell us about meeting the challenge by leaving a comment here…

Why not a Twitterchallenge, you ask? This challenge is extended to the entire social network and to those who are online (which one must be to read about the challenge) but not in any particular social network.
I challenge you to navigate to two blogs to which you have never been, read their thoughts, reflect on their posts, & then leave an intelligent comment which you should use the word 'networkchallenge' in one word within your comment. Once you have met…

So it's been well over a year that I've been on this network and my life has changed dramatically in that time. In fact, as a launching point, I should give CR2.0 the full credit it deserves.
I know that the network catches grief about how the conversations here never change, and as I come back and look again at some of them, I think I may tend to agree. But that's ok!! I've been launched into another, different world that seems to fit me, but there are more and more teachers coming…
