A transition program to secondary school

Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, I develop digital resources for the secondary classroom.

Two years ago we developed a transition to 9 program that we called tt9. eReaders/Computers -The next best thing.

With the ipad now on the market we will see some serious competition and innovation for a book reader/computer that will actually be useful to educators and students. The purpose of this post is to simply gather information about eReaders that will work in schools. Since Apple has made billions in the consumer market it is unlikely that we will see a suitable product from them for education. 21st Century Education is Happening: What does it look like?

The video posted on this page on 21st Century Learning suggests requirements that neither make all schools the same, nor require we drop everything we do. But it does suggest a framework for renewal. We need to:

New to this thing!

Ok, I am officially trying to develop my own PLN. I have gone back and forth for the last year debating whether it was worth it to join twitter and jump with both feet into the whole thing. I know find that it is well worth the time and energy that it takes to get started. The benefit is what counts.
