I have started programming a few simple learning activities that can be added on web pages flex labs. They are all designed to be easy to embed. Here is an example.
This is simply a matter of specifying parameter values in the embedding code (pretty much the same way youTube does). I won't be in a position to provide any reliable service for another few weeks (I am about to migrate to the other side of…

This is simply a matter of specifying parameter values in the embedding code (pretty much the same way youTube does). I won't be in a position to provide any reliable service for another few weeks (I am about to migrate to the other side of the planet). But I would be highly interested in hearing of expression of interest about what widgets should be created to support educators (preferably widgets that don't exist yet).Cute widget :: Delicious Bookmarks to keep an eye on education resourcestag:www.classroom20.com,2007-09-28:649749:BlogPost:532232007-09-28T12:28:37.000ZMarielle Langehttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/widged

Tell me what you think of my Comic strip creator in Flex.

That's an early version, I am still early on in my learning of Flex. This was inspired by an ajax version at witty comics. Slow loading, I know. I need to spend a bit of time optimizing all these images as much as I can.

Started learning Flex. I had stayed away from Actionscript in the past. As the software I write tend to require a gui interface, I was not much enthused by the timeline and movie clip analogies.
With the move to AS3 (a proper OO language) and the introduction of a XUL like language to rapidly define the interface elements, they got me seriously consider taking the time to learn actionscript. After a few weeks looking into it, they got me persuaded this is something I should learn to good level. I added a concrete example below. Has this shows, you can embed what you create with Flex pretty much anywhere (within a browser, and now also within a standalone application, thanks to the AIR framework).

I set up a gallery with examples of mini-apps or mini-components as I progress in my learning. Everything there is under a Attribution share-alike CC license.

Anybody else here into Flex or interested in Flex. Or is it that I am being far too technical?
I gave a try to the slidy slideshow solution, to publish a slideshow directly in the browser, using web 2.0 technologies (in fact, strictly javascript -- see also S5, by Eric Meyer). The result is not bad at all... at least when viewing it on my large screen mac.
Check out for yourself: CoP001 -- Cognitive Psychology: A window on the mind (the subject clearly is not of general interest... I simply converted slides from a powerpoint lecture I taught a few years back
Feel free to ask any question. Would be cool to have a small editor that let you edit and export the slides in a visual way (without having to handcode the html). That shouldn't be that difficult to do.
