When I was a kid (in the mid-50s) there were 35 students in my elementary classes. I've had people tell me than in their parochial elementary classes there would be 50 students! When I first started teaching in 1971, I had 36 fifth graders in my class and didn't think a thing about it. Hard to believeā¦</p>
