Children like all families; here at Santa’s Village we also have our day to day problems.
Well one day Maurice the Mouse knocked on my office door. “Come in Maurice” I said, “What can I do for you?”
Maurice said, “Santa I was in the grotto the other day and I saw a group of little green men and when they saw me they ran away, Santa I was the one that was scared.”
I assured Maurice everything would be alright and that Santa would sort it out and let him know the outcome.
That night instead of going to bed I went down to the grotto; I sat in my chair by the fire and turned off the lights.
I waited and waited and all of a sudden I heard a noise, I looked around and in the corner I could see a dark figure standing there. I switched on the lights and there he was startled by the lights Sean the Leprechaun. He was a fine looking gentleman all dressed in green but I could see he had fallen on hard times, his suit was thread bare.
“Forgive me Sir” he said in an Irish Accent “but we were on our way to America and our ship encountered fog and we have lost our way. My wife is expecting our fourth child and we are starving Sir, I was only looking for food to feed my family.”
I told Sean I was Santa and I would help but I had to explain that the presence of his family had scared my family. I told him not to worry and that I would like to meet his family and help.
We headed down to the barn, opened the door and there they were the little people.
I could tell Sean was a proud man and all he wanted to do was to look after his family, he was a good man.
“Santa Sir” he said, “can we stay the night until my child is born and we will be on our way”. “Sean” I said. “I will get Mr’s Claus to make you some food and we will get Tim the Tailor to mend that lovely green suit of yours, you are welcome to stop as long as you wish.
Well Sean’s wife gave birth to a baby boy who he named after me, “Nicolas” then they set sail for America. My family were there to wave them off, but I could see they were still not sure of this little green family.
As the ship sailed into the distance, I turned to my family and especially Maurice and explained a very important lesson. We should never judge people by their appearance; if someone turns up in your life and they are different I am not saying you should like them, all I’m saying is that you should give them a chance.
Sean’s family were different, they were small, they were dressed in green and they spoke with a different accent, but they are God’s Children and Sean proved, he was a good man.
So children if a new boy or girl turns up in your class and they are different from you reach out to them and give them a chance and make them feel welcome.

Every Year in March I receive a letter from Sean and he always wishes me a Happy St Patrick’s Day. He has never forgotten my Kindness and that makes Santa happy.MERRY CHRISTMAStag:www.classroom20.com,2008-12-17:649749:BlogPost:2358722008-12-17T17:30:00.000ZSantahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Santa
Christmas is not about a holiday. It’s a Spirit that gives without retort, loves without having to be loved and giving more to those who have less.

For_Immediate_Release:
United States of America (Press Release) November 10, 2008 -- Santa has taken over the Internet and has had over 112,000 viewers watching his live video podcast show on The Stickam Social Network platform each weekend and continuing though November from 10 am to 12 noon pst. His “G” Rated show is for the Child in everybody.

He is branding his work on the Internet as “SANTALIVENOW” which is a call to action.
His positive message conveys hope and faith through the Spirit of Christmas in a time when the world so desperately needs reassurance. He pontificates family, positive choices, and a healthier future for our Children.

Quoting Santa from his blog on Wordpress, “Don’t you think it’s time to put aside everything that doesn’t matter? I’ve had it up to here with all the pain, war, and sickness and of course the Stock Market. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. It stop right here right now!

I’m not going to feel sorry for myself or my fellow man. If you wake up breathing you pretty much have to get up from that duke feather mattress and make the most out of this day. I’ll get off the sleigh, because I know I’m preaching to the quire, so, what really matters? The answer is easy. The cure is even easier. In each one of us mortals we have one thing in common that separates from all creatures on Earth. It’s our Heart and Soul my friend.

What matters, at the end of the of the day, is that feeling deep inside you that connects you to your maker and to the hope this eternal internal feeling we call joy and peace continues somehow through the another day. Since it take the same amount of energy to be negative as it does to be positive and since tomorrow is pretty important.

Christmas is not about a holiday. It’s a Spirit that gives without retort, loves without having to be loved and giving more to those who have less.

The magic of the season is a Child, or even the Child in you. I wish I could put in a bottle as a Child sees me for the first time. I can feel and see that feeling.

Feel the emotions the first time up set on Santa’s Lap, or looking out the window on Christmas Eve wondering,"If he’s out there I pray he stops here”,or opening that special gift under the Christmas tree."

Dear Santa,

As we get closer to World Diabetes Day, November 14, we invite you to consider how you can help raise diabetes awareness. Whether you can get a local building lit up in blue or you yourself are going to wear blue that day, it is very important that all of us actively make sure that this day doesn't go unnoticed.
I was concerned that it is only ever Rudolph and I that seem to get the credit but the truth is that here in my Village we work together as a team so that the children of the world receive their gifts on Christmas morning. Why there are elves, gnomes, snowmen, reindeer, talking Christmas trees to name just a few.

Mrs Clause, my dear wife, had the brilliant idea that I should write down the history of the village and all of its inhabitants so that children could enjoy all of the wonderful stories of how we came to be as we are today. There certainly is never a dull moment here in the North Pole! You will even hear about the time Santa met the Queen of England and landed on the moon by mistake. I bet you would all like to know how I became Santa in the first place and how my village was founded.
Santa Clause, also known to many as Father Christmas or sometimes St. Nick (an abbreviated form of his real name Nicolas), is a well-known figure associated with Christmas and loved by many across the world. It was this popularity, especially with children, which prompted him to write a book for the enjoyment of his young fans, in addition to his day job of overseeing the production and distribution of over 6 billion toys per year, each of which he delivers personally each Christmas with the help of a team he affectionately refers to as his ‘family’. Santa is currently based in a village in the North Pole. In addition to toy manufacture and writing Santa also runs his own website: www.santalivenow.com.

If you're planning a Christmas party for a group of elementary-age children, there are a myriad of really fun games you can include. Be sure to have lots of prizes and take lots of pictures because some of the games can be silly!

To get the kids moving around, start with the "fill the stocking" game. In this game, create teams so there are at least 3 people and no more than perhaps 6 people on each team. Have a stocking for each team. Place the stockings on the wall and have also a bowl of candy and spoons. The first person on each team will put the spoon in their mouth (backwards, so the bowl of the spoon is sticking out) and get some candy out of the bowl. Still holding their spoon in their mouth, they must walk or run to the stocking on the wall and get the candy in the stocking. They run back to the line and the next child has a turn (each child should have his or her on spoon). The game continues until the candy bowl is empty.

The obvious prize for the stocking game is a big bowl of candy!

Another active game is an "unwrap the game" relay. Provide two piles presents at one end of the room (these can be presents with real teats inside, or "dummy" wrapped presents). The children are divided into two teams and a relay is created. One person runs to the stack of gifts, unwraps it, throws away the paper and runs back. Then the next child in line runs up, unwraps a gift, throws away the paper and runs back. If the paper lands outside the trash can, the child must run back and put it back in the trashcan before returning to the line and allowing another person to take a turn.

If these to games are played first the kids might want a little rest. Now's the time to play a sit-down Christmas party game, like "remember this". Get a large cookie sheet or baking tray and fill it with Christmas-themed items. You might include an ornament, a candy cane, a Santa hat, garland, ribbon, etc. There should be at least 20 items on the tray. Give each child about 20 seconds to look at the items, then cover the tray and remove it from sight. Give the children another 20-30 seconds to remember everything they saw on the tray. Have them quickly write don their guesses. The prize is for whoever remembers the most items!

Another good sit down game and one that's also a learning game is a word find game. Provide children with a list of Christmas words and have them find other words within those words. For example, if one word is "reindeer" they might find in, deer, red, den, and so on. Longer words are best, so think of words like Christmas, snowballs, poinsettia, holly berry and the like).

Children love games that involve sitting in a circle and having fun that way. Here's a "circle" game children are sure to love. This tests their ability to remember little details about other people, like their voice. Have handy a sleigh, either one cut out of cardboard or a small one purchased a gift or dollar store. Blindfold one child and have another child hold the sleigh. The child with the sleigh calls out to the blindfolded child something like this:

Santa, where's your sleigh?
Someone's come and taken it away.
Who has it? Who?

The blindfolded child has to guess who has the sleigh. Give the child 3 chances to get it right before giving the sleigh and blindfold to other children.

For another sit down game, give each child a piece of paper and a pencil. Tell them to close their eyes and then tell them what to draw. Give them the shapes, but don't tell them exactly what they are trying to draw (though most children will figure it out). So, first tell them to draw three circles, with the largest being on the bottom and the smallest on the top. Then tell them to draw dots for eyes, and buttons for a coat. Keep going until you have described a snowman. Then have the children open their eyes to see what they have actually drawn. Award a prize for the drawing that most closely resembles a snowman.
The seasons change, with only 104 days till the greatest celebration of giving on the Earth arrives, I find myself in constant wonder. I have taken it upon myself as Santa Claus to bring as much joy and peace to the hearts of the Child in all of us.

These are the most uncertain of times. The clay of the Earth’s future is up for the taking. Life, as most of us know it, has never been so fragile. Seven years ago to the day the innocence of our generation was taken from us. In one single moment, not knowing the severity of its consequences, I witnessed a loss to the human spirit of all mankind. This act of pure terror crossed every line of separation. Weather your ethnic background or station in life it rooted you to the quick.

The fabric of our precious life has been torn. The rippling effect continues to tear at my soul. But, as Santa, I hold if only a drop, of pure hope and faith in my heart that as a community of believers in a much higher power there is purpose for us to get out from underneath the covers this morning.

I believe with such a political change on the horizon in America we are going to break the shackles of terrine that were clamped on all living soul that day seven years ago. This is not just about Americans. It’s about humanity around the world. I travel around the Earth, not just at Christmas delivering presents to the wide eyed innocence believers of the Spirit of Christmas which lives deep in the souls of the Child in all of us.

For it is on the Internet, my twitter peeps will attest, our world comes to a new understanding every sunset and sunrise, that we have become one global Community. It’s simply, the need for information about how to acquire a better tomorrow that is why we get out of bed.

What is a better tomorrow? That my friend is what we should be asking ourselves with every step down this path we call life.

This is not rocket science. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel; although we are probably going to. LOL

We have three simple choices:

1. To make a positive choice through hope and faith in a better life for our Children.

2. To make a negative choice and destroy the future for our Children.

3. To make no choice and have no impute into the future of Children.

The funny thing is all three choices take the same amount of energy. Every morning as the sun raises and I slowly pull the covers down from over my cap I give a pray of thanks that today I will feel the power of a Childs smile as their lay their eyes on me for the first time this magical season.

At that moment there is only one choice to make.
My beloved friends of Santalivenow.ning.com.

As most everyone is aware there are thousands of people in our own respective states of origin that are far less fortunate than you and I and because of that their joy in this most holiest of holidays is diminished.

There are far too many children and adults alike who dread to see the 25th of December come because their hearts want so much to share in the joy of this festive holiday yet their minds will not let them. A variety of reasons may cause this for them. Those that readily come to mind are:

1. Lack of finances or very limited finances;
2. Lack of nourishment or fear of not knowing where the next meal will come from
3. Lack of shelter or permanent shelter
4. Lack of feeling that there is in fact so other living person out there who cares

It makes little difference what the reason is except as to what remedy would help the most. Whatever their reason is - it blemishes what in my opinion should be the most joyous of all days for everyone not just the privileged..

Hence the reason for this post.

My friends, I would ask this holiday season that each and every one of you reach out to someone you know or know of who may be in one of these positions. Donate to one of your local food pantry’s or donate a toy to anyone one of the many charities that collect new toys for those children who would not otherwise have a gift for Christmas- In doing so you give someone a reason to rejoice this holiday season who might not otherwise do so. In doing so you give the greatest gift ever given that of LOVE.

Your act of kindness does not necessarily have to be miraculous to be life changing. For if the truth be known- a miracle- is nothing more than a pleasant event that wasn’t calculated to happen- yet happens anyway! It could be as simple as reaching out and shaking the hand of someone who looks lonely or lost and saying “may the blessings of God be with you today and throughout this holiday season”. It could be that bag of groceries you left at your local food bank or on the doorstep of someone you know who truly needs them; or that toy you donated to Toys for Tots or some other similar organization . What ever kindness it is you chose to do it will only go to prove that there are Angels who walk among us and you have just become one of them!Crafts for Children during Christmastag:www.classroom20.com,2008-07-14:649749:BlogPost:1613122008-07-14T13:12:28.000ZSantahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Santa

Handprint Tree
You need green paper, yellow paper, glue and small pieces of other colors paper. All you need to do is to mark and cut out 5-7 times your kids handprints. Then let him glue them with the fingers pointed down. Cut out big star from the yellow paper and glue it on the top. Now you have your Christmas tree. Cut small ball shaped figures and decorate it.

Christmas tree
You need green paper and some different shaper bright colors pieces. Mark and cut same size triangles. Glue them on white paper. Glue the first on the top. The top of the second has to cover the end of the first. Cut a piece of brown paper for bottom and leave enough place to glue the small presents you have prepared before. Decorate the Christmas tree with different shaped figures.

Christmas tree balls
You need a lot of tissue paper. Make different sizes balls. Then wrap them in red, orange yellow or blue foil. Turn a paper clipper into v-shaped form and glue it on the top. Now you can decorate your Christmas tree.

How to make snowflakes?
All you need are white papers and scissors. Cut out pieces of the white paper in square or oval form. Then fold them in half, then again in half. Cut out very small pieces on different places and with different shapes. When you open the white paper you will see unique and beautiful snowflakes. Do the same with the other pieces but never cut on the same place. This guarantees that all your snowflakes will be different. Now you can decorate your house or the Christmas tree.Santa's Alphabettag:www.classroom20.com,2008-06-17:649749:BlogPost:1512612008-06-17T18:26:59.000ZSantahttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Santa

Interview with Sean

How did you choose the Internet to reach
the public?>I was standing in Best Buys and saw a wall of wed cams. Listening for about a half hour to all the questions being asked and the volume by which people, young and old, were buying them. The light bulb went off! As an actor for twenty-five years. I know the camera doesn’t lie. I know how commented I am t obeying Santa, and of course how fast the internet is growing, I new I could get Santa to people and children who would not otherwise be able to have an exchange with Santa in the most important time of year. > How can people reach
you?> @http://www.santalivenow.com from there it’s easy. > I understand people can ask you to mail a card or e-mail a video
comment> directly to their kids. How
would they > order them?> I think this is what is very special about me. First of all, through the videos on my site will allow you and your child, to get to know therealsanta in a personal way, creating a true wonderment for the Spirit of Christmas. {Now here’s the pitch} For only $ 4.99 +$1.00 shipping. You get not only a picture of the Santa you’ve just experience with your child but on the inside you create what Santa say to your child or loved one, it has my signature and comes from Santa’s Village in the North Pole. And for only $9.99 Santa will send a video to your email, once again in the form you create what you want me to say. This will be limited to the amount of volume I have to do. So make those orders early! > I understand anyone (with parents permission)
can log on and watch your> live show
on Operator11.com. When do > you broadcast live?>On Operator 11, a social network, you can log on and if you have a webcam you can come live in to the studio and talk directly to Santa and his cast characters from Santa’s Village. Or, you can go to @http://www.santalivenow.com and watch the show live on Saturdays till Christmas at 10 am p.s.t. and during the show which last about a hour and a half they can email Santa and I will mention them live. It is also live @myspace.com/therealbeardedsanta. > You’ve got a cast of
characters on your show…. Elves and
reindeer. How did> that come together?>In May when I first got on Operator 11 I noticed that most everybody didn’t get it. I did a public access show on live TV for many years. This was that to the tenth power. They’re was one 17 year old girl doing a show called ,”I’m bored” and she had a camera on but was just typing in the chat room not even looking at the camera. Once again the light bulb went off. I want the internet, at least at my end to be “g” rated I want it to be a positive place where Moms and Dads can bring they’re children and be safe. If it begins that way children can use the internet for all the right reasons. After screening and getting to know operators I selected the ones with the same desires as I had for this safe place we call the Santa Show. The characters are from all over the world . We have developed into a working inactive group that live in Santa’s Village in the chat room the script develops every pod cast is different and we try to bring in as many characters as possible to interact with the kids. These are all real people not actors. This show is not about just the child watching , a but, about the kids in all of us. And that is what Santa wants to touch is the kids in all of us. > I know my daughter loves going
online and leaving you messages. If
you> could leave a video message for the kids of > the world what would it
be?>Just to embrace the love and joy for this time of season and to hold on to it the year round. I got tears in my eyes right now! > You launched
santalivenow.com. What are you using that Website to do?> A safe place to bring your child to experience Christmas on the internet. Beginning Dec 1 we will have an advent colander for the 25 days of Christmas on each day there will a different positive thing about Christmas and that will be beamed all over the planet will the help of a very special internet geek from England Phil Campbell. Everybody who’s on the internet should thank this man. Santa’s say’s with joy,” Operator 11 free, a cup of coffee $4.95, Phil Campbell priceless “! > Of course, the
questions EVERYONE wonders…> >
What is your favorite cookie?> Here’s the deal Santa is a diabetic. So this year I’m bringing Bumble Elf how will eat all the cookies left out, but, if you want you can leave me nuts. > How do you get all over the world in one
night?>with Rudolf, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet Cupid, Donner and Blitzen..! And of course Google search. > What do the elves do for fun?> Snow ball fights, making presents, eating Ms. Claus’s food and when Christmas is over we all go to Disneyland!
