Dear Classroom 2.0 Colleagues,

I am now the product manager of an exciting new service being developed which will provide live on demand professional development to teachers. We have a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grant for starting up and piloting the service in several school districts with Algebra 1 teachers.
We want to be sure the service is useful to teachers so in addition to the pilot, we are forming a Teacher Advisory Board of current U.S. Algebra 1 teachers. This board will offer advice, guidance, resources, and review our plans and materials. Time commitment is about 1-2 hours per month for conference calls with an additional hour or so for reviewing materials and interacting on our Ning.

While we can't pay for participation, we feel it will be an interesting and fun cohort and the ability to share and discuss teaching resources and approaches - plus see a next generation service as it's being developed. Teacher advisory board members may wish to add serving on this national board to their professional credentials.

If you are interested, please email me at plivingston@tutor.com and I will send you a two-page document. The first page describes the board and the second is a form. If after you receive the document you think you'd be interested, please send back the form to me.

Thanks very much,

Pamela
