m sold on them. At this point we cannot approach 1-1 computing so I compromise. We organize our writing around Writing Traits and a cycle of prewriting, drafting, revision+editing, and publishing. The weakest link is revision+editing and wikispaces can facilitate this best. Publishing in my classroom means moving the writing to their wikispaces. This helps the students understand that revision+editing is not a one-time effort. My objective is to move this writing from their learning spaces to their digital portfolio spaces.…

That does! Thanks, Layman. I have already set up one wikispace site. So I think I will go in and set up some more. Do you use their e-mails or do you have wikispaces create usernames/accounts, etc?
es. The student pages were originally put in to help facilitate assessment but that didn't pan out. Wikispaces worked well for me, their support was great when our proxy and filters restricted parts of their site. I am beginning a new project next week on local history with another wikispaces site. Second time around will be better.…
