Hi! I teach 4th grade in Tucson, Arizona (and I was just given the added position of Tech Coach for our school). After a career in broadcasting left me wondering what I couldI do to TRULY make a difference - I went back to school and got my Masters in Elementary Education. I am just starting my 4th year teaching and I LOVE IT! As a total "techno geek," I'm sooooo excited to explore more 21st century skills in the classroom. I started a Tech Club at our school and I'm happy to say it has been a huge success. I got a SmartBoard last year, and it just makes me want to use even more technology with my students! I'm looking forward to learning more about how I can blend my love of technology and teaching into a beautiful symbiotic relationship. I'm hoping all the wonderful members of this network can help me get headed in that direction. :)
Happy New Year! I was wondering if you have any 2ndary education contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Arizona!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
With your interest in Education Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
