I am a 7th grade Science teacher in Deer Valley Unified School District in NW Phoenix, AZ. I am a Teacher Consultant with the Arizona Geography Alliance (affiliate of National Geographic) and serve on the Discovery Education Network Leadership Council for Arizona. I am always looking for ideas and ways to use technology within my classroom and I love to share ideas with others.
Hi Alison,
It's great to connect with you on Classroom 2.0! We would love to have you more involved with Westside AzTEA!! Will you be presenting at WOW this year? You can find lots of information about AzTEA and Westside here: http://aztea.wikispaces.com/Westside+Chapter+WIki and http://www.aztea.org. Feel free to contact me anytime if I can answer questions for you.

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!
That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.
Do you mind passing my message along to students and your colleagues again?
