About Me
I've been an EFL teacher for 20 years now. I have always been interested in the use of technology in the classroom and even more so after the course Webtools4BrazilianEducators which I took having Carla Arena from CTJ as the instructor. I want to keep learning more and more about the potential of the webtools to enhance my teaching.

Hello. Welcome to Classroom 2.0. Would you be willing to have your students interact with my students in the USA? I would love to give my students the opportunity to learn from other students living in a different country.

Hi Gilmar. I talked with our Tech. coordiantor and unfortunately, Skype, MSN, and yahoo messengers are restricted by the state of South Dakota, so i will not be able to correspond on one of those avenues. I think it will work to correspond through email to get things set up, the details, etc. i was thinking about having our students correspond back and forth about questions we pose on my blog: http://waterforsixthgrade.blogspot.com What do you think?

Hi Gilmar, Hope all is well in Brazil. How are things looking with your new classes? I told my students about the possibility of connecting to students around the world, and they are excited. So what are your thoughts about corresponding? I was thinking we (you and I) could post questions on my blog for our students to respond to to teach each other about our countries/schools, etc. You could send me the questions you want me to post. Let me know what you are thinking,
    Thanks,
    Dan

Hi Gilmar, Sorry for the delay in messaging. I spoke with my classes and we came up with some questions we would like your students to answer for us. My students are very interested in learning about what it's like in your country. Let me know where you are at as far as this project and if i should post the questions on the blog. I will post the questions with a brazil flag and then possibly your students could answer them for us? that would be awesome. Then we can share with your students what it's like here, about our school, etc. Let me know,
    Thanks Gilmar,

Hi Gilmar, I've been blogging for three years now. I think it's a very powerful tool, something that gets the kids excited and offers them new ways of learning material. i will post something on the blog today, i will call it: "Hello, Brazil" Your students will just have to click where it says "comments" and then type their answers. I am so excited to see what they have to say, as are my students. I definately suggest you make a blog, it's a lot of fun! They do not have to use their last names if they don't feel comfortable, but first names would be good. Thanks again and we will anxiously await some responses.
