Hi.
I was wondering that same thing as you were about whether or not recording books was okay. I've been doing it as an updated listening center. What have you found out?
Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Florida.
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Great! The details are located at the website www.BrainyFlix.com. Click on the link that says 'Contest Rules'. We're accepting videos now and will continue to do so until March 16.
I saw that you posted a question about recording books. I have heard this question before but I have not seen a clear answer. Many schools are currently recording books on tape though. I would recommend using Garageband's podcasting feature, as you can add pictures along with the story. Many special education classrooms are using Garageband's podcasting feature for flashcards and books. You can also use the text to speech capability to have the computer convert digital text into speech (mp3). You will need a Mac for Garageband, and I have an automator for converting digital text to speech if you like.
