Thanks for the contact! I am going to talk to my students when we return from Winter Break on January 12. This project fits neatly with some other vocabulary activities we are already doing, sans technology.

I work in Philadelphia NY, not Philadelphia PA, BIG difference. But I will check out the contest.

I would love to participate, but my school only goes to grade 6. Thanks and keep us in mind for future projects.

Thanks for giving students this unique opporutnity. I will share it with my middle school students and I believe they will love the idea. However, I did notice a video or two that might not be appropriate in content for that age level. Are they screened before they are added?

Thanks for you quick response. My students are getting a kick out of the watching the videos. Hopefully we can add some ourselves.

Being that I deal with the middle school population, there are some minor concerns I have as to appropriate language. I am not at all in favor of censorship, but I worry about the reaction from some parents. I can be more specific but I do not at all want to discourage people from enjoying these videos for themselves.

I truely don't have time to do this contest because I have a couole of teams competing in various contests, but my team teacher may be interested. It seems right up her alley.

What have people done about YouTube being blocked? Too bad you didn't add them to teachertube also. That's not blocked.
