I'll ask around and find out...we did have a group work on creating a database driven spelling test last semester. Perhaps some of the students in that group may be interested in participation. Good luck.
Hi Jack,
Thank you for the invitation. I will forward the info to some of my colleagues. Best wishes for a Joyous, Healthy, and Happy New Year, 2009!
Evangeline
Hi Jack, our Shaping Youth crew is undergoing a big 'Virtual Nutrition' beta test in Jan-April 2009 so I think our team will be swamped until then, but will forward to other web wizards, as it sounds grand. (I'll also blog it if you send me more info you'd like to promo? Have you plopped it on the FB's S.F. network?)
Thanks for letting us know. We've posted a comment about it on our blog. Your contest tied in well with our latest blog post about vocab activities!

Hi Jack! I am interested in the vocab video contest. I sent a message to my students yesterday, and one has all ready expressed interest also! Thank you for contacting me.
Hi Jack!
I saw your contest advertised on a different ed tech site, but I can't remember which one. (Sorry!) I was planning on passing the info along to our English, oops, Language Arts Department. Right now I only have freshmen and sophomores and most of them are not thinking about the SAT yet. I will however, tell them about the contest, but I don't expect many of my students to be enthused about it. Hopefully the junior and senior English teachers will see more enthusiasm.
Hi Jack, thanks for the invitation. it's a great idea, but I need to talk to my supervisor. However, I am pretty sure he will give me the ok to go along. I will get back to you by Monday, Jan.5 in the afternoon.
Hi Jack,
Thanks for the invitation. I'll check when we return from break; however, I doubt I will be able to stir up much interest. Most of our students take the ACT.
I'll talk the contest up. I teach gifted middle school students and would love to see what they come up with. The sixth graders will be taking the SAT for 'fun' in another month.
Looks like an interesting and fun contest. I'll pass this on to my HS and to our middle schools. We have some clever, imaginative, and competitive kids!
Hi Jack,
I think I saw this contest via a Diigo group and passed it along to our AV teacher. He mentioned he was going to make it an assignment - do you want me to get confirmation? Is there a way I can send his email address to you?
I was aware of the content and will forward it around to the folks here in the school district, as well as the state-wide mailing list. Have a happy new year!
Hi Jack. I am at the elementary school and relatively new to the area, so I don't know a whole lot of people, I know you gave me a website to check out, and I will forward that to the high school admins. If you have a printable file (I haven't checked your website for that yet), please send it to me and I'm sure the high school people could hang flyers around.
Hey, Jack. Sounds interesting, but the site is down so I couldn't learn much about it. I'm no longer teaching, but I'm happy to pass this along to my former colleagues. Best of luck to you! Really great idea. And, out of curiosity, what course are you at MIT? I was 9...
Sounds like a wonderful contest. The Ford Program-Global Education Initiative focuses on STEM education [science, technology, engineering and math]. But, I'll forward your message to colleagues.
Jack, the opportunity to participate in this contest sounds like a great challenge for my students, unfortunately, the link to brainyflix.com produced a blank page. I would like to know more about this opportunity. Thanks. Carolyn
I just saw this message quickly and skimmed the site as I am still on vacation but I am doing a high school vocabucasting workshop on Jan. 5th using HS vocab and Garage Band for a super simple podcasts - I think I should link this in and show some of the examples? Let me look it over
Thanks, Jack. It looks like a video variation of the "vocab show n tells" i've done.
Let me know how to get my students to participate.
