I serve as Assistant Professor of Educational Technology and teach online and face-to-face formats. All courses and all students create and maintain instructional/educational blogs. Additionally, I facilitate the Web 2.0 Tools for Schools pro dev group in Tapped In.
Good morning L,
A few weeks back, in some Chatter on my page, you had mentioned that you may have some helpful research for my Masters paper. I am still interested in learning more about that.
Have a great day!
John
Thanks for the invite. I see you're familiar with tapped in. I used this while getting my masters in Ed Tech from Pepperdine. Wonder if my office still exists?
:)
Hello, thank you for the invite. Nice to have a "hands across the pond" association. Then again Web 2.0 is all about flattening classrooms. Hope to hear more from you.
Hi Lynne
Thanks for the friend invite. I feel I will have a lot in common with you. I too find many teachers (not necessarily Veteran status) "avoiding" technology. They let students engage in "playing " games on websites and software but really do not try to engage technology as a tool for learning. But once they are shown or helped (as your didgital camera example shows) then they are hooked!
Maureen
Lynne,
Thanks for the wave from Portland! I like to visit Powell's, and then come back home to my quiet farm and read.
I've got other pictures on the web, too:

I just discovered to my surprise that you've chosen me to be a friend. From an English teacher in Japan, thank you very much! I look forward to learning a great deal from you and the other members of this community.
Hey Lynn, good to see you are an active member of the community - don't know if you have any kids, but we have started a community for parents over at http://digitalparents.ning.com see you soon,
Hi Lynne... I don't think experimentation is a function of age, more of personality - someone who tries a new way that might fall flat. Are you using those digital movie cameras or still cameras? I have been using Comic Life with Kinders as well as a stop motion animation program to make their collages move.. J
Hi Lynee,
Thanks for the invite. I am interested in your career pathway. I am currently a elementary school teacher and I would like to take the next step with ed and tech and have thought about higher ed teaching teachers. What advise to do you have to pursue a path like yours? What kind of ed credentials do you need to have? I would also like to see what you think on how I am doing trying to explain web2.0 technologies to digital immigrants at my blog http://edvibes.com
Hi Lynne
I'm really interested in what you're doing! I hope that we'll share our knowledge and reflections on educational technologies. Have a nice day.
Hi Lynne! Thanks for the invite! Here in the South East of England my job involves working with post 16-providers (colleges, some unis, specialist colleges for students with disabilities) and I specialise in assistive technolgies. Looking forward to virtual collaboration!
Artie (real name: Beate - I'm an anglicised German!)
Hi Lynne. Thanks for the "add". You've got some pretty cool stuff going on here on your page. This group is such a great way to discuss and learn with others. I look forward to hearing lots of neat ideas and suggestions from you!
Hello friends!
Please be sure to stop by my ed tech news and resources blog - it is full of powerful resources.

Lynn,
Wow, I'm finally finding time to play a bit. The technology has been exploding all around me this year. We opened up two Podcasting studios in the college, bought some land in Second Life, and introduced a new multimedia course. It's been fun, but I am glad to have a bit of time to relax.
My husband and I are headed to Portland, OR for a week on the beach and then are going to Traverse City to float in the boat....
What have you been up to?
Hi Lynne,
I can't believe there is another Washingtonian online too. Hope to meet up with you some day since we both live in the same state. I look forward to getting my PhD so that I can be a professor in the area of technology literacy. I think there is a real natural pairing with the two.
Great to meet you.
Peggy
Hi Lynne,
Thanks for the invite. We have some common links through Vancouver, WA (the OTHER Vancouver) ... but for now I have a lot to learn about formating and presenting material for Classroom 2.0 ... Thanks for all the technology links. I'll be digging around in your site (page) ...
Best,
Hilding
Hi Lynne,
Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. I am an elementary teacher and I teach in Los Angeles. Recently I am trying to be an online instructor and I am glad that I know you because I think I'll have some questions to ask.
I am amazed that you have started your research in preschool. That is my philosophy when it comes to technology. We need to start from young age to show that technology can be used to teach and learn safely.
Lynne
Thanks for inviting me in. Looked at your blog and read the Story Centered curric. article. Interesting. Have your heard about 21st century school initiative? Sounds like your article, the need to make learning real. Also, just viewed the Far(y) Use Tale. Well done!!!!!!! All good stuff. Stay cool!

I'm finally getting a chance to say hello! Such is the busy teacher's life or at least that of the teacher who is always curious and has their fingers in so many pies.
Thanks for linking me up to the 5 minds for the future discussion. I have so much to add there!!!! Ken and Connie, from reading their posts, seem like my twins. I will jump in this weekend for sure and say my piece......
I'm especially interested in technology so especially intersted in more discussions here and classroom 2.0 in general. I think of all the disciplines, my own, 2nd language acquisition , EFL , has the greatest debt to one day be owed to technology. So many possibilities and so few really digging and turning the soil. I hope to be one of them who grows some roots here and issues some fruit.
One thing I find with technology. Too often it is a "new' thing and taught passively. I really feel technology must be learnt through the backdoor, as young kids learn it. Give them a goal elsewhere and the technological learning comes with it. Use is letting loose......
Look forward to some fruitful discussions. Take a look at my own community, made for the moment of just those using my materials. (I am an avid collector and materials designer for ELL. ) http://eflclassroom.ning.com
Hi Lynne. You've got a lot of good resources. I'll check out the Educational Wiki site first. Here's a screencast of how I used one wiki in my English class this past year.
