It's been a long time since this group was active. I think things will start picking up now that ISTE is approaching!

In case you missed the news the fundraising for ISTE10 is officially over. Thank you to everyone who contributed to help send Jason to Denver.

Thanks for the invite. Jason is the perfect choice for the ISTE10 Newbie Project. It will be great for teachers to watch his adventure this year.

Beth, I love your idea of keeping the discussions in one place-here! I applaud your efforts in supporting teachers to make it to the ISTE conferences. Your model for PLN support and mentoring is wonderful. You rock!

Being new to twitter & blogging, I understand the importance of having people support you in the process. Even something as little as a blog comment can make a big difference. Check out the link to Beth's great ideas on how to do support Jason this year.

Lee- I would really like to see this group serve as a central location for conversations to take place that relate to the Newbie Project. So many times conversations get fragmented because they are taking place all over th

Jeff- I guess you guys in NY are going to have to share Jason with the rest of America and points beyond now! I think he is going to inspire educators well beyond the borders of your state. (He already has!)

Howie-- I did jump in with both feet, didn't I? Thanks for calling me your star student. That means so much to me! I have NEVER forgotten what you taught me about being the one educator in ten who will make a difference. My PLN is packed with so many who are other "one in tens."

Hello ALL
My STAR **** Student** Beth** is rocking the IT, PLN and ISTE World. I did a Keynote and workshop in NEB about 18 months ago and Beth was there. Talk about someone who jumps in with both feet..Beth I am so proud of you and how you are embracing 21st Century Professional Development and the new skills you have acquired and are using. Tks for inviting me into your group

To learn more about the history of the Newbie Project please read about it in my blog, Nebraska Change Agent.

Jason's blog, Connections, will be a fantastic resource for all educators who want to follow someone who is new to blogging. His blog will provide a window into his classroom.
