<p></p>
<p>How it Works?</p>
<p>You create a free account, in the registration you will be asked if you are a parent or teacher. Once you have created and activated your account, you will login and see a "start" button near the top right of the website. Click that and print the following sheet, distribute it to all your students to give to their parents. If you're a parent, it is pretty much the same process, except you need to print the sheet and give it to your childrens teacher.</p>
<p>Once this is completed a teacher is now free to add homework assignments, a summary of the day, message of the day, reminders, and any upcoming events.</p>
<p></p>
<p>Greatest online tool for teachers!</p>

<p>Hi, I'm new to Classroom 2.0 and I look forward to connecting here with other educators. I became connected to this site after spending a day with Kevin Honeycutt at a technology workshope in Montana. </p>
<p>I have a question: does anyone have any great ideas for lessons and/or websites to help teach my fourth graders about the continents?</p>
<p>Thanks, Connie</p>

<p>I have a new website that I think schools would really benefit from (<a href="http://Enterthegroup.com">http://Enterthegroup.com</a>). However I'm finding it hard to get through to people. What's the best way to get a site evaluated and used in the classroom?</p>
<p>Emailing Principals, Superintendents & IT people isn't getting me any responses and cold calling is only slightly better but it can also backfire too. Does anyone have any thoughts?</p>

<div>The site provides help to students who typically dislike working in groups. It gives them a way to define their objectives and goals. It also allows them to break projects down into tasks, communicate to each other, schedule meetings on a shared calendar, share files and conduct polls.</div>
<div><br/></div>
<div>There is a tool for teachers to create a type of virtual classroom where they can communicate with students outside of class, share handouts, post dates to a calendar and more.</div>
<div><br/></div>
<div>I would love to know what teachers think about this, so any feedback would be much appreciated. </div>
<div><br/></div>
<div>I think this site can help teachers avoid project 'disasters' as well as teach students valuable lessons in organization.</div>

<div>Thanks,</div>

In a few weeks I will be doing a presentation for some local teachers about creating a classroom website. I would like to recommend some different options, and I think I will go with<div>*Weebly</div>
<div>*Google Sites</div>
<div>*Wikispaces</div>
<div><br></br></div>
<div>My <a href="http://stewart4.wetpaint.com/">own class website</a> is on Wetpaint, but they no longer support ad-free edu sites so I can't recommend that. </div>

<div>Am I missing other great hosting options? Some criteria would be ease of use, flexibility (widgets, etc), and customization.</div>

<div>Please respond with any links that could be helpful as I research this process. I would love to check out </div>

This has been discussed before on Classroom 2.0 but I'd like to get a feel for the state of the art. After all I have changed wiki providers several times over the years as things have evolved so I'd like to know how things currently stand for website builders.<div><br></br></div>

<div>I'm most interested in student creation so I want to know which you have your students use, rather than what you use yourself.</div>
<div>Why do you use the one you use?</div>
<div>Have you changed what you use? Why?</div>
<div>Only weebly has an education specific version as far as I can tell with a cursory glance, would that or does that influence your decision to use it?</div>
