I am a youth Vision Coach and I am currently working with a program called TEL.A.VISION. Our vision is to inspire and encourage youth to identify and express their unique gifts in service of a better world for all.
TEL.A.VISION helps youth turn their dreams into reality through the creation of a personal TEL.A.VISION vision video via a powerful combination of words, imagery and music. The website - www.telavision.tv - provides students and teachers with on-line tools and curriculum that enable students to develop a three-minute vision video which becomes a compelling, multi-sensory ‘guided tour’ through their own desired future.

Reviewing the video regularly assists the student in making daily choices that align with their short and long-term life goals. TEL•A•VISION recommends daily review and periodic revisions, as goals are achieved and/or priorities shift.

I have been fortunate to share this with over a thousand students in the past few months. I'd love for you to take a look, create a vision video and let me know what you think. Calling all brains
This site has been a significant part of my PLN for just over a year. I’m asking for your help. If you could pick anyone, anything, or anyplace, What books would you read? What conferences, workshops, or meetings would you attend? Who would you travel to meet with? Who would you fly in to sit at the table with you? Who would you pick to help you in your strategic brainstorming or planning? Who could help inject progressive, innovative ideas about the future of education and the technologies that will drive it? Anyone. Yes, I am serious.
Why should you care?

I don’t know if I can say why you should care about a project in Missouri. However, I do believe I know why you will. Because you are a bunch of committed, forward-thinking educators. Folks like us know the power of buy-in at all levels of implementation. Here’s betting that the readers of this blog realize the power potential of solid know-how combined with administrative support.

Please help. I could submit my own recommendations. I essentially do that quite regularly behind the driver’s seat of this blog. The articles I write examine interesting avenues and advocate passionate positions. My blogroll is a list of folks I rely on for new learning. I have a set of books on my shelf that were important to me, but really… the elements of my learning network allow it to be a dynamic, hyper-responsive, thing. There is even a pretty good chance you came here from the Twitterverse- and that has become a frighteningly good resources as of late.

PLEASE reply with comments here on the main post as well, as this will be forwarded throughout my district in a day or so.
In light of the prediction that 50% of the jobs available in 2020 do not exist today, what should we continue to do and what should we do differently, in order to adequately prepare the graduates of 2020 for the ever changing global community they will enter?

The following links are evidence to support the prediction made in this question and are very interesting in general:
I'm a technology integration specialist at a K-5 school, and this is my first year in this position. I see a real need to help my faculty and staff develop a school-wide vision for embedding technology into instructional practices. Has anyone tried to lead your school through a process to develop such a vision? Do you know of any online tools, resources, or examples that would help to facilitate the process of developing a vision? I just posted a new blog entry on this quest:…
