I am currently working with teachers in grades 6 and 9 who have asked me about Web-based tools and SmartPhone apps to build and reinforce listening comprehension skills. I immediately thought of podcasts. I would love to hear ideas about how to teach with podcasts in a way that supports standards for listening comprehension and, in turn, academic language development.
Web2.Ofying Classroomstag:www.classroom20.com,2012-04-04:649749:Topic:8242042012-04-04T06:55:27.702ZSonia Sisonhttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/SoniaSison

Here are some of the tools that will be showcased: wikispaces, blogs, glogster, skype, podcast, wordle, twitter, voicethread, avatars, animoto, slideshare, and wallwisher.
Hi!

I recently had a few administrators ask me about podcasting and how they can use it on their campuses to communicate with staff, students, and parents. Do you all have any experience with this? How effective was it? Do you have any samples of their podcasts that I can listen to?

Thanks in advance,

I need a recommendation for a podcasting host

2. I would like to record one podcast with multiple tracks so that I can label each poster with a track number (poster one corresponds to track one in the podcast.) I subscribe to a few DJ podcasts and each new song in a mix is a new track so I know this is possible. How do I do this? I have Audacity and garageband at my disposal.

thanks - my kids are super excited - I appreciate any help you can give me.

mrg

Web 2.0 coursetag:www.classroom20.com,2009-11-23:649749:Topic:4092012009-11-23T11:47:36.324ZMark Barneshttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/MarkBarnes78
I recently developed a course, Web 2.0 for the K12 Classroom, which I teach online through Lake Erie College. I teach blogging, podcasting, social networking, social bookmarking and video sharing. Do you know of some sort of new Web 2.0 tool that might be a nice addition to my course?
Thanks for your input.

I'm interested in podcasting (or, possibly, vodcasting) my daily lessons but am not sure how to accomplish this. I teach middle school science so it's not possible for me to be tethered to my computer and I'd like this to be a quick and easy process. Could somebody please give me some suggestions/advice on how to proceed and what my equipment needs might be.
I hope that, even if you cannot come, or even present, you can become part of the conversation, and help the teachers in the El Paso area experience what you are doing on the web. The more brains we have working on this project, the better.

Won't you join in our NING site and become part of Podstock SW?
We are interested in developing an activity where students podcast as a nightly homework assignment using a phone. We are looking for Web 2.0 application that would make this possible... we used to use GCast but it is no longer a free service! Any ideas????
