I am reaching out to Classroom 2.0 members who use the Promethean interactive white board. Do you have flipcharts you'd like to share? I regularly peruse Promethean's website for flipcharts there, but there are many making iwb resources who don't upload to the Promethean web site. Anyone interested?<br/>

Hi there everyone - We are trying the ENO boards in 4 classrooms right now in or primary and elementary classrooms. I searched here for posts about the ENO but did not see much.<br />
<br />
1) Does anyone have any experiences with the ENO in their school that they may share (good or bad)?<br />
Would you recommend it over the Promethean or SMART?<br />
<br />
2) What are your experiences with the RM easiteach software?<br />
Are there other software packages besides the included RM Easiteach that you would recommend?<br />

We do not have any type of interactive whiteboards at my school, which is a K-2 building. What we do have is LDC projectors and Tablet PCs. They are wonderful, but not as interactive as what a IWB can do. We recently discovered we can make a IWB of sorts using bluetooth and a Wii remote. My question is what type of IWB software can we use with that? I downloaded the free 30 day trial of the Smart Notebook software and think it is great, but it looks like the copyright laws won't let you use it…

Does anyone know anything about this? We are going to meet with our tech administrator soon and any info would be helpful. We certainly don't want to break any copyright rules, but we definitely would like to be able to take the technology resources we have to the next level. Thank you! So I was at a meeting where were asked to vote on this question. Would you rather have a tablet (with a wireless connection to the data projector) or an Interactive White Board (with a computer connected to it)? Just a clarification: We are talking one tablet for the whole class or one IWB for the class. Explain your pick.

When we release the new version of Smoothboard in the next week, we will also add a comprehensive software manual.<br />

Some of you may have already tested the Wiimote IWB with Johnny Chung Lee's software with a homemade IR-pen and found it to have low functionality. We have extensivvely developed the software and hardware to create a high quality IWB experience for a very low cost.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.irpensonline">http://www.irpensonline</a> are now making a high quality tip-pressure sensitive IR-Pen. For those that don't like the switch IR-Pen the tip-pressure sensitive IR-pen give a touch to write realistic digital whiteboard marker experience.<br />

Yah, it sure is alot to say. How about WRMTIWB? ;)<br />
<br />
Anyway....<br />

I first ran across <a href="http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~johnny/projects/wii/">Johnny Lee's wonderful videos</a> over the summer (why did it take me so long to see them?!) and ever since I have been dying to try out the system. My department has agreed to pay for the needed parts so I went out and bought everything I think I need. You can read about what I ordered <a href="http://stjlabs.com/2008/11/23/wii-remote-multi-touch-whiteboard-parts-ordered/">right here</a>.<br />
<br />
My questions for all of you are:<br />
1) If you've used a WRMTIWB in your classroom, how did it go? What have you used it for? What do you like most about it? What do you like least?<br />
2) What tips do you have for the initial setup?<br />
3) What's one thing we should definitely do once we have everything setup? Interwrite Interactive White boardstag:www.classroom20.com,2008-06-03:649749:Topic:1469802008-06-03T19:14:21.641ZCarol Hudsonhttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/Carol73
Has anyone had experience with the Interwrite board. The company has recently merged with e-Instruction. Their software of course will work with Exam View which comes with many of the textbooks that we are using. We had a demo on the board and the software, but wanted to know if anyone is using these boards in the classroom? Our district is looking at all options right now....Smart, Promethean and now Interwrite. We are trying to do a comparison on these systems including software, clickers,…

Thanks Anyone know of a searchable catalog of resources that could be used on an EWB?tag:www.classroom20.com,2008-05-26:649749:Topic:1446152008-05-26T04:58:37.211ZPaul McMahonhttps://www.classroom20.com/profile/PaulMcMahon
Hi There!<br />
<br />
Thanks for this group. It looks really useful.<br />
<br />
I work a lot with secondary teachers looking to make better use of the boards and they have a hard time finding the right resources on their topics. Whilst there are some great resources on wikis and things out there, I am not sure if there is any open resource, that I can add to, that lists interactive, maybe java and flash resources that I can use on any EWB that can be searched by topic or level. Does anyone know of anything like this? Promethean and Smart have their own of course but only for their propriety software. What I am looking for is something like the UK based <a href="http://www.iwb.org.uk/">http://www.iwb.org.uk/</a> site which lists generic apps and catalogs them.<br />
<br />
Cheers<br />

Does anyone have experience with both Promethean and SmartBoard to compare the two? Our school has dipped a toe in the water and is wanting to go much deeper, therefore we're looking for further information. Is there a preference for younger and older primary children?<br />
<br />
I've heard there have been problems with SmartBoard. Any comments?<br />
<br />
The fact that Smart notebook software can be freely used by anyone is an important factor for teachers preparing lessons at home.<br />

I should add that Promethean now have released Inspire that can be freely loaded to ANY computer and can be used with ANY interactive whiteboard and can read several (all?) other IWB brand files, which at least puts them at level-pegging in terms of access to the software.<br />
<br />
Later:<br />
The Promethean 'free' software is limited in what it can do. It does not allow you to create lessons, which destroys its usefulness for me.
