DESCRIPTION:The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) is 
 holding MyChina Village Virtual Chinese Immersion Camp 2009 in the vir
 tual world of Second Life between August 3, 2009 and August 28, 2009. 
 We welcome learners and speakers of Mandarin Chinese to attend the ope
 n house each Friday during this camp.\n\nYou can immerse yourself in C
 hinese language and culture, interact with students from Soochow Unive
 rsity, and experience all that MyChina Village has to offer. Each open
  house will showcase students' learning on environmental issues. The o
 pen house will begin at 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time and end at 7:00pm
