About Me:
I teach 5th grade at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, IL. I am passionate about curriculum development. We're always looking for ways to connect with schools around the country and world. We have an integrated curriculum, and use technology as much as possible. My favorite project happens at the end of the year when the students create i-movies to tell the story of Chicago's Chinatown. We also use Google Earth to restore Mayan ruins. I haven't used Web 2.0 much, and I am new to online networking!

This summer, I've been exploring ways to collaborate with schools around the nation and world, not only for my fifth grade classroom but also for our other LS classrooms. In the past weeks, I've just begun to explore the world of wikis and blogging. We use Google Earth, Inspiration, and imovie to enhance our curriculum. However, I am quickly learning how unlimited the possibilities are when it comes to technology integration. I… Continue

It'd be great to do some collaboration with you, and even though it may not be till March next year, that's ok as we will have just done a trip to China and can incorporate that it whatever we end up doing.
sounds good to me!

Wow, I think that is three from the Land Down Under - wow good title for a song maybe?:) Just kidding, that time of the night when I get a little nuts.
Seriously, Hi Annie and thank you for accepting my invitation. The work you have already conducted sounds most interesting. I would love to hear more about how you integrated google earth into the learning process and practice and how successful it has been. I have a feeling the learners would have been well engaged and gained both great knowledge and skills related both to the topic and the use of tools and technologies available today.
I look forward to learning from you and hope I can offer something to you.
Hi to Jane and James - wondering if this is an omen - could we become - The Power of Three!

Have a great night or morning.

Kind Regards

Jacinta
