Annoying but wonderful

I have been testing out a little application called AntiRSI. It only runs on OS X, but there are similar programs for PC out there. AntiRSI’s job is to keep track of how long I have been working at the computer, then every 7 minutes it tells me to take a 13 second stretch break. [...]

Keeping it Simple

I recently took a class from an instructor who was having a first time experience with Moodle and was still learning all that it can be used for. Through this class I discovered some things that I use Moodle for all the time that I often overlook because they always seem too simple to discuss. [...]

VoiceThread

I have been away for a while in busy teacher land, but I am going to work my way back from my exile with some short entries on great things that I have seen while I have been away. I will continue with my Moodle entries as well, but they require so much time and [...]

Teacher Tech - RSS Reader

My RSS reader is a tool that I use every single day. It collects all of the new information from all of my favorite news sites and blogs and it stores the information in one location. For a simple explanation of how an RSS reader works, check out RSS in Plain English from The Common [...]

The Good Teacher

I was doing research tonight for a Moodle class I am teaching and I ran across the tale of The Good Teacher. Multiple blog etiquette

I have little desire to seriously maintain another blog. One is keeping me quite occupied as it is. I have added an RSS feed of my blog to my Classroom 2.0 page. I know the network hasn't been around long enough to develop its own etiquette yet, but would it be best for me to post my posts from my Classroom Meets Technology blog here so that they appear in the Classroom 2.0 blog feed, or should I allow people to discover my blo… Continue

Good to know there is another former Rosveille-ite in this network. I'm teaching overseas and it is truly astonishing how many Minnesotan teach overseas. My school here is very large by international school standards. 60 new staff came on board this August, and at least 40% were Minnesotan-- it might have been closer to 50%. Who'd have thought?
