I taught a year in middle school in the areas of science and social studies. After that I moved into a second grade classroom for 10 years. When I received a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction I had the opportunity to work as a curriculum and assessment specialist for ESSDACK, my current job. While at ESSDACK, I spent three years as lead teacher at Pleasantview Academy a charter school in Kansas. While at the charter school, I worked with students in grades preK through 12.
