About Me:
I graduated from Minneapolis High School (Minneapolis, KS) in 2002. I went to Washburn University (Topeka, KS) immediately after high school and graduated in 2004 with a degree in Legal Studies and a Certificate of Completion in Victim/Survivor Services. During my schooling at Washburn, I did an internship at the Shawnee County District Attorney's office in the victims unit. I worked at the Collection Bureau of Kansas in Topeka through school and then began a job in Salina, KS in January 2007 at a law office. I worked at the law office for 7 months and was miserable the whole time. This is when I decided to substitute teach and what gave me my inspiration to go back to school and earn my degree in Elementary Education. My husband and I had recently bought a house in Salina, KS and were required to stay in it for at least 5 years. I was unable to move back to Topeka to return to Washburn and the school in Salina was way too expensive for me, so this is why I decided to earn my degree online through Fort Hays State University in Kansas. I would like to teach any grade between first grade and fourth grade.
My husband, Dustin, and I got married on August 26, 2006 and were blessed with a baby boy, Kaden, on May 24, 2007. We also have a 5 pound pomeranian (dog) who is full-grown.
