I’ve written this post as both a personal journal and roadmap, as well as to discuss our activities in use of educational and/or other technologies to facilitate the learning experiences of our 4-year old.
My daughter (nearly 4 years old) has grown up with a father who is glued to technology for ridiculous amounts of time [...]
Jim Groom (2008) threw out an interesting idea yesterday regarding the notion of digital identity and how it relates to student blogs, suggesting that a university might buy each student a one year domain license for a personal URL, rather than forcing student blogs under the umbrella of the institution’s domain. I find this to [...]
I’ve been meaning to launch a wiki for quite some time and have finally got ’round to doing it. After going back and forth on a platform for ages I’ve finally settled on a fairly customised instance of Drupal that I’ve outfitted to feature many of the same sorts of wiki functionality people are [...]
I just discovered an interesting use of SecondLife that I thought was worth documenting and sharing. The Australian presence in SL contains a series of teleport destinations depicting 360 degree views of a particular aspect of Circular Quay in Sydney.

Hey Mike,
Nice page and Sydney theme - and I added the Tech Ticker blog to my bloglist, some good stuff there thanks. I lived in sydney for 3 years in Manly, then Paddington. My claim to fame was that Michael Hutchence used to live in my house in Paddington...LOL, Then I moved to Melbourne, ended up living there for 10 years and marrying a Melbourne girl. My son Flynn was born there.
Just learning to Twitter...
Cheers,
Gavin
