Currently working as a systems administrator, while I finish my elementary teacher training. I hope to begin classroom work again at the beginning of April 2008.
Wow, that is a long time away from education. I agree with you that many of the educators that I have encountered so far on Classroom 2.0 have been secondary educators. I am an elementary educator working in the library for the first time this year. I have a number of years experience in the classroom with 5th graders which are 10-11 years old in the U.S.
The elementary experience with technology is severly lacking and I believe very strongly that so much of these 21st century skills need to be introduced from the elementary age, and enhanced moving forward.
I am looking forward to sharing some ideas with you as we go along. My Skype name is klearn feel free to contact me.
I am currently using my position to work with the math coach at my school to integrate the technology there and incrementally move that technology in to the other subject areas.
Thank you for your responses to the questions. Were the questions alright? Should I have asked anything else?

I created a wiki in response to all the people who offered to help me on the interview. If you are still interested please visit the following link: http://schoolgateway.wikispaces.com/
Hi Scott. I see that you added me as a friend-thanks! I am so sheepish that I don't know how to add you to my list of friends... what about that! Let me know. I will read your page and other people's to see if I get some enlightenment in my brain :-)
I am making a wiki and still forming all the questions I will ask. As soon as they are done, I will send you the link if you are still interested in helping. I think it will be easiest that way.
Ok, found you in Twitter, I think the site search engine is a little slow updating or something. Must be a bit strange living in the UK after living in all that hot weather in Austrailia I guess. Man, here its usually hot all of the time, very humid too. I was at one of the big public school in my city last week, a presentation about slang and swear words, etc. Was a lot of fun, waiting for photos to arrive from other teacher so I can post online. I started teaching English to kids recently, for the first time. Its fun but you burn off a lot of energy hahaha!!
