Hi, this is Kevin. Hope your summer is going well and you had some time to relax.
I've started a new Ning network for Middle School Science Teachers and I thought you might like to join. I thought it would be really good to have just middle school science teachers share some of their labs, demos, concerns, what works and what doesn't about teaching this level. Hope to see you there.
Thanks, Kevin
Here is a report from Teacher's College that might be of some assistanceolpc_kappa.pdf
I'd love to touch base. I'm teaching today until 3:30MST, but perhaps early next week, on Monday, we could discuss the XO and what I've noticed? budtheteacher@gmail.com is the best way to get in touch at the present.
Looking forward to it!
We are +8 hours GMT, so "Skype" may be difficult in school time with students. However, I am happy to have a play with it at home once I have downloaded the software and had a few practise gos. If your students would like to meet some of our students, all our year 7 to 9's have their own blogs. If you go to http://murch.globalteacher.org.au/ all the students are down the right hand side.
