Greetings:
I wanted to let everybody know that I have just developed a new unit that incorporates technology into content learning. This particular unit challenges students to develop multi-media presentations demonstrating the horrible realities of the Holocaust. In order to prepare themselves for this final project, students complete a series of activity sheets that correspond to markers within Google Earth that challenge them to think both critically and creatively.
The teacher packet includes a variety of educational resources.
The student packet includes prompts that challenge students to:
*Consider both the lighter (the few that existed) and darker sides of Ghetto life
*Empathize with Jews who worked at the camp crematoria
*Consider the possibilities of forgiveness after the Holocaust
*empathize with Germans during the economic troubles of the 1930s
*and many more
In hopes of spreading the word about this new resource, I am inviting anybody who would like to peruse a set of contents to request one, free of charge.
(Ultimately, I'm hoping that people will be willing to purchase this resource for $20.00, per teacher.)
Simply send me your name, professional position, and organizational affiliation.
You can reach me at ap@pass-ed.com.
Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you.
