This video is about our ranch. My husband is a teacher and he enjoys his summers working on our ranch. We have cattle and horses. We also have alfalfa fields, that he works on so that we don't have to buy our own. We also have a garden, in which we plant vegetables. Everything on the ranch is usable for something: wood(to sell / heat our house/ posts for the fence) apples trees (we sell the apples/ freeze for us), alfalfa (for feed for our cattle and horses/ or to sell if we need) cattle (we eat the meat-we have never purchased any/also we sell them when we need any extra money)welding (my husband makes our own pipe fences, gates, and screen doors-very handy). Our ranch is very beautiful and important to us. I hope that you enjoyed the video.

Your ranch is beautiful and self-sufficient. I liked how you captured your home with the various shots showing how your home is important to you and your family. You also showed how it takes hard work to be a part of ranch life. Your explanation of how and why things are done on the ranch was very informative. Your little rancher helping out with the cutting and riding the horse was cute (He already knows what has to done). Liked the credits that you had at the end

Great video. I never experienced life on the ranch, so it gave me a little insight into your families life there. Nice shots and great choice of music. One of the all time best songs. I gained knowledge of your upbringing and the heritage you are passing down to your kids. I think that is great. Good job.

Great insight into ranch life. I liked how you zoomed in a lot to show the branding of the cow (ouch!). I liked watching your son on his little tractor ( too cute ). You did a great job! The music fit very well!! Your message was definetely conveyed!

Thank you for the introduction. You really set the stage for a glimpse into ranch life. Your message of appreciation for your husband and the work he does to sustain a wholesome and admirable lifestyle for his family is clear and commendable. You were able to document and share some important aspects of ranch life-a tribute to a lifestyle too quickly fading I'm afraid. Your subtitles were helpful in identifying the tasks-liked the pre/post brands. Thanks for cutting away for the last part of the castration:) I loved the juxtaposition of father and son on their tractors! You captured some strong content that communicated your feelings and how much you value your ranch. Thank you for allowing us to peek into your world. Hats off to your husband!

Great choice of music goes just right with the event in the video. Cowgirl you did a great job showing the process of all the hard work a rancher and farmer does on a daily bases. The documentary was explained very will with the capitions of the information with the cows and of purchasing and sell of your families' goods. Your camera angles give the video an exciting touch. Wonderful Job!

That was beautiful the music defintely gave it the right effect. I enjoyed watching your documentary of Ranch Life. I noticed several panning, zooming, and different angle effects. The use of all this combined came out really good. Thanks for a fun class. Lisa

Melissa,
The music choice is touching. I like the angles that you choice such as close-up, over the shoulder, and a panning of the beautiful landscape. This film is a great documentary great to document your life, and also to show a student what happens on a ranch. The transitions that you used are good, you transitioned with editing and choice of music. :)

Good Job Melissa. I enjoyed your video. It brought back memories from when I was small and use to go out to my uncles ranch to watch them brand cows, except they didn't have that cool thing to hold the cow they had to tie them up with ropes. I didn't even know that there was something like that. LOL. Awesome job.
