It's a great guide - already used the carbon calculator it suggests in a side bar and blogged about it. Very fun, easy to use for elementary and middle school students.

Other Earth Friendly Project Ideas:
We also used "The Story of Stuff" by Annie Leonard. Controversial, political and a great place to have kids fact check, using their information literacy skills for something really interesting. That then cuts across political leanings in all directions. See blog link above for more details.

Doing biodiversity and planting native seeds in our impoverished hills behind the school after surveying them for species. But dang, raining!

Really emphasising getting us all OUTSIDE!

Looking forward to hearing both earth friendly and outside class room ideas from everyone!
