Jean Pennycook is an educator from California who has been working with Dr. David Ainley for eight years during the Antarctic summer studying Adelie penguins and their habitat. On January 21, 2009, Skipper Rich Wilson spoke with Jean to discuss her work in Antarctica as well as his work aboard Great American III. Through the use of satellite phones, they connected with each other. This video illustrates their conversation.
