Hello Anne,

I decided to bring our discussion here, I hope its ok with you.

Thanks for installing the WordAhead widget at your website. It appears to be working fine and apparently a visitor will not notice any problems or issues and it will not slow down ordinary users. The errors that you are encountering are probably because of the dial-up connection.

You can either ignore them as everything should be working ok, or if you like we can try sorting out this problem. For that id like you to send me a screen shot of the error/s. For that all you have to do is hit the 'Print Screen' or 'PrtScn' button on your keyboard and then save the error image as .jpg via Microsoft Paint Brush that comes with every windows OS and then send me that jpg. I can send you my email address where you can email me the screen shots and we will go from there.

So just let me know how you would like to proceed.

Also, if you like i can send you the WordAhead logo or icon to place with WordAhead links at your website in accordance with the rest of the page.

Hello Anne,

I enjoyed the operating systems entries you and others made. Unfortunately you are a true educator and they are not. You care about pedagogy and they don't.

Lexile.com is a great resource for children's story writers to determine the reading level of their text. I use their leveling system with my kids and it seems to give the best results of the various systems out there. You can register for their leveling tool which will let you enter the text and have it analyzed.

If your sister decides that she doesn't have the time to work on those pictures for you, I recommend asking at WetCanvas.com. It is the busiest artist's website on the net attracting artists of all ability levels from beginning hobbyists to practicing professionals. If your project is non-profit, you will likely find a volunteer.

There are several channels there because of the high traffic levels of the site. There are channels for each medium (watercolor, pencil, digital) and several subject (portraiture, landscapes, etc.). Browse around a bit in there to get e feel for the best places to ask. I recommend the Digital Art channel since your work is online-oriented and the Illustration Channel.

While you are there, look up some of my threads ...

Hi Anne,

With your interest in Web 2.0 Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.

Hi! Anne
Happy New Year
Thanks for your comments. Prior to blog I was using e mail too. Actually, the concept of blogging emerged in full swing 2-3 years back. It came to my knowledge in Year 2006. Since then I am using it as a teaching tool. It has expanded the boundaries of my classroom. Also, through social networking sites I am able to interact with teachers all across the globe. My blog's URL is http://mykhmsmathclass.blogspot.com .This has been created to share and learn mathematics through hands-o activities . Your comments are welcome and valuable. I would love to learn from your experience in the field of education. What is your Twitter /Mybloglog/ or any other page reference? You are welcome to Join the group of Passionate teachers http://passionateteachers.ning.com
Spread the light of knowledge.
