I enjoy using web 2.0 software. It is software that is extremely handy while working in a classroom. A lot of the software that is avaliable is handy in helping students. For example, sliderocket and prezi are interesting new ways to show slideshows to students. The slide shows that are made in this programs will more easily keep the students interested in the information versus the simple slide to slide presentations in Powerpoint. The transistions, movements, and easlily embedded videos will allow the teacher to capture and keep the students attention quickly and easily.

I also enjoyed working with notaland. Notaland is an easy way to gather material between students. Nota, as it is called for short, is a great program that easily allows collabriative work from multiple users and will even allow the public to make comments on the content. This feature allows easy work from all the students and there does not have to be a central meeting place or time.

I would use Nota to allow students and parents to make comments and suggestions on ideas that I would have for my classroom. I would also be an easy way to have a question and answer session. For example I made a notebook about myself, my intrests, favorite things, and things of that nature. It would be easy for parents and students to ask questions that they would like answered or respond with their favorites. You can see my notebook by clicking here.

There are few drawbacks to using web 2.0 programs. Sometimes there are small gliches that do not allow you to do the things that you are always supposed to be able to do. I think the web 2.0 software is great in the way that people can easily be in contact with one another and learn from things that others have made and posted.
