I have not had the time to have my students utilize twitter yet. We had several things to do for Prom the week of training and then we were out a week and Prom was last week. I do however plan to get them started with twitter this week. I know it will go very well because they will love the social networking aspect of it.

Just a thought....

Instead of going through the trouble of having your entire class setup their own twitter accounts, have them come in each day with their tweets in their notes. I have taken the concept behind twitter - a brief summary of 140 characters - and applied it to reading assignments or simply using it as a warm up to a lesson.

I like this idea.
If your students have laptops but can't use Twitter because of filtering issues, you could see about doing this on a shared Google doc, so all could see what others contribute. Or on a classroom blog.
