To quote the legendary Bob Dylan's famous song, "The times they are a-changin'". I am now currently teaching Math to some of the best and brightest students this side of New York. Each and everyone of them makes me proud as they have the skills in analytics and understanding numbers that may just surpass other schools.

But regarding more about me, I mentioned that times indeed change because just a few years back, I was the student and I was the one making fun of other people, or making fun of the substitute or making fun of the substitute AND other students. I was the hellraiser and the official class clown. But now, as Im older and more mature. I look back and smile a sheepish smile. because I finally know what it was like to become the teacher. I remember one time, during an essay writing classes back in junior high, I threw a crumpled paper ball towards my friend sitting up in front. But then while in midair, my friend shifted his position. And the next thing I knew, I spent another peaceful afternoon in detention.

I wrote this particular essay because I know that there are a lot of things that a teacher has to do. A lot of responsibilities, a lot of things to deal with. When I was young, I never imagined how hard the life of our teachers were, all I cared about was to piss them off and to go home early (or even not go to school at all.) And now that its my turn to face the students' I can only say that life truly is filled with ironies and that the times really do change.
