I would welcome any examples or ideas on how to incorporate project based learning for senior high school students! My school is moving to a more project based approach and I'm not sure how my grade 12's will respond to it, considering they have a standardized test at the end of the year worth a big percentage of their overall mark.

WOW that is a loaded statement. There are so many things to say. The biggest one that I lead was taking two dozen kids to Texas to help the hurricane victims on the Bolivar Penisula. The cost was about $750 per student which covered the cost of the Chaperones. We spent a week there and worked with City Teams. I have been there three times and each time was a life changing event for all involved.
On a closer to home idea, I would get in touch with the local Habitat for Humanity, Parks and Recreation, or local watershed activists and see if they need help.
Let me know what you think of these ideas.
