As part of a new means of evaluating teachers, my district has asked each of us to review a set of core elements that they've identified as being vital to good teaching. We are to come up with 2 goals that relate to the elements and commit to meeting that goal. I am in the process of choosing my 2 goals. It is taking me awhile because I don't exactly know how this document will be used. For example, if I commit to these goals and am not able to meet them, will this be used against me? Some of my colleagues have admitted just going through the motions and putting something on the paper. I don't really want to do that. There are things that I'm really working on. The goals that I've chosen are to create a PLN and to flip my classes.

I'm not sure what a PLN is, but I think that it is a network of educators and professionals that I can learn from and share with. What I envision is having regular access to others across the country who teach the same things that I do. I'd like to know how they meet the challenges I face daily. This is the reason I joined Classroom 2.0.
