Missing in action...

Wow, I haven't been on Classroom 2.0 is such a very long time.  A lot has happened in my life, as well as in my work life.  

Both of my sons were married last year and I welcomed two beautiful daughters-in-law into our family.

Our high school has gone 1:1 with iPads - I'm not totally sold on this device for my students.  I teach digital literacy and desktop publishing and students are not able to be as creative in their work with the iPad as they were last year with a MacBook.  (We had Adobe's Creative Suite on the MacBooks)  The students are grumbling too.  Has anyone found any creative uses, or free apps that students could use for photo editing or publishing for the iPad that might help in my future classes?
