Independent Study/Home schooling collaboration with families

I am looking to connect with other educators who work with parents to facilitate the best home schooling experiences possible. My school maintains a partnership with parents who want the best to BOTH WORLDS. K-8 kids come to school (we call is workshops) two times per week and are "home-schooled" 3 days per week using the lesson plans and materials we provide or collaborate with credentialed teacher to customize the curriculum to meet unique needs. What to chat?

Hi Lori, I would be interested in comparing notes. I co-administrate and teach at Virtual Homeschool Group. We use Moodle and Elluminate platforms and our classes come in both open classes with students logging in from all over the US and Canada and also local co-ops which have closed enrollments with only the local kids meeting together using Moodle as a 24/7 support. My e-mail is armoorefam@centurytel.net

Hi Tammy- sweet, I would love that. We use moodle on a limited basis with our spelling program 2-8 and assignments for middle school kids. I am very interesed in Elluminate and are curious how you use it. My desire is to set up a way for teachers to provide a lesson in a workshop that then could be projected to the students at home. My email is lperez@classicalacademy.com and our website is www.classicalacademy.com/coastal.

Hi. Let's chat. I work in a charter school that serves both learning communities. Look at my page for more information. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I know how busy summer can get. I just wanted you to know that it is a busy time for me right now, but I would love to talk to you sometime soon. I am going to start a ning for teachers that work in our environment, or I will start a group within this ning. I want to do it in August. Which do you think would be best?
